Global Fund Launches Data Service API Version 4 – Updates
Global Fund Launches Data Services API Version 4
July 15, 2024
The Global Fund has launched version 4 of its Application Programming Interface (API) Data service. This is a totally redesigned interface that’s supported by a brand new data model.
What’s recent in version 4:
- Grant budgets now have a lower level of detail and will be accessed on the intervention level.
- Grant expenditures have been added on the intervention level from the 2017–2019 grant cycle to the current.
- Financial indicators have been added on the implementation period level. They will be used to calculate budget utilization, country absorption and disbursement utilization
With this recent release, all previous versions have been marked as deprecated. We encourage our API users to migrate to the newest version. Version 3 will proceed to work until December 1, 2024, after which it would be removed.
Updated csv and Microsoft Excel files at the moment are available for download from Data Service. Older files are still available for individuals who connected to them directly, but are not any longer available for download from the platform. These files will remain available only until December 1, 2024.
If you might be using version 3 of the API or dataset files, we encourage you to update your systems to version 4. If you wish help higher understanding the changes, please contact us.
