She actually discovered our Nurse on the Move feature in a recent article in Home Healthcare Now magazine titled: Nurse on the Move: Lisa Gorski and he or she thought, “Well… why not [me]?”
I had the chance to talk together with her over the phone and discover why she thought she could be a superb candidate, and I’m so glad she reached out to us at NursingCenter. In addition to being a registered nurse, Ackerman can be an adjunct professor at Regis University in Denver and is extremely involved in interdisciplinary end-of-life simulations.
Ackerman recently graduated from Creighton University with a PhD in Interdisciplinary Education. She created a board game concerning the end of life by which participants tackle the role of a patient making decisions related to an incurable disease.
