The Global Fund welcomes Indonesia’s commitment of USD 10 million as a part of the eighth replenishment



– The Republic of Indonesia announced a commitment of USD 10 million to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (the “Global Fund”) under the eighth replenishment of the Partnership, reaffirming Indonesia’s role in improving global health and the resilience of health systems.

“Our contribution reflects Indonesia’s continued commitment to international cooperation,” he said. “Indonesia deeply appreciates the Global Fund’s multi-year support, which has significantly strengthened the country’s response to HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, as well as the broader resilience of the health system.”

“We are deeply grateful for Indonesia’s continued partnership and commitment in the fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria,” he said. “Indonesia’s contribution to the Eighth Supplement reflects the shared responsibility and collective action needed to save lives, strengthen health systems and accelerate progress towards a healthier, more equitable world.”

Indonesia’s contribution will help support programs to forestall, diagnose and treat HIV, tuberculosis and malaria, while strengthening health systems and community-based services in greater than 100 countries.

The eighth replenishment of the Global Fund, which raised greater than $12.65 billion and was co-hosted by the governments of South Africa and the United Kingdom, brought together partners committed to accelerating progress within the fight against HIV, tuberculosis and malaria. The contribution of partners like Indonesia is crucial to maintaining gains within the fight against these three diseases, strengthening health systems and communities, and ensuring that countries can respond more effectively to future health threats.
