Global Health
And the winner is…
Only last month, two articles from our magazines and one entire issue of the magazine received prestigious awards Eddie and Ozzie Awards. Please allow me to precise my congratulations here and share this content with you.
In the B-to-B, Healthcare/Medical/Nursing, Single Article category (March/April 2010) by Kathryn Murphy DNS, APRN won Gold! This article demonstrates the essential role you, the nurse, play in identifying and properly treating anxiety disorders. You’ll find useful charts and illustrations explaining neurotransmitters and neurotransmission, in addition to an excellent chart of medicines used to treat anxiety (including side reactions and essential care notes). Here’s a link to the PDF should you prefer.
The silver award on this category was received (March 2010) by Peg Gray-Vickrey DNS, RN. In this text, the writer not only describes differences in physical assessment, but in addition provides insightful suggestions akin to: “Never interpret confusion as a normal part of aging” and “Always expect the unexpected.” There are some great photos in this text too! Again, should you prefer a PDF file, yow will discover it here.
The magazine’s March issue also won a bronze award within the B-to-B, healthcare/medical/nursing, full issue category, receiving high marks for editorial focus and presentation.
Congratulations to the authors, editors and staff!
