overview: A registered nurse (RN) is an expert caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN utilizes the nursing process, utilizing technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as a registered nurse within the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification issued on the time of hire or obtained inside 60 days of hire with prior approval. (ACLS/NRP/PALS depending on unit or service).

overview:Direct care includes specialist acute care units (medicine and surgery) with medium to high risk to patient health.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited or state board-approved school of nursing.
  • State permit to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider and any appropriate life support certifications as determined by the position.
  • At least 6 months of experience in nursing (RN).

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Location: Infectious Diseases, UCHealth Anschutz Patient Pavilion, Aurora

overview: Serves as a patient advocate, liaison, and advisor/educator, helping patients navigate all the care process.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved registered/vocational nursing program if lower than 3 years of experience.
  • State permit to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
  • Appropriate life support certification as determined at job level.
  • At least 2 years of experience in nursing.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuer with card in hand prior to begin date. BLS or CPR card have to be valid for sixty days from hire.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Location: Cherry Creek Medical Center: Orthopedics, Denver

overview:Provides direct patient care within the physician’s office using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and the organization’s policies, values, and mission.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved registered/vocational nursing program if lower than 3 years of experience.
  • State permit to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider and any applicable certifications as defined by the position.
  • At least 6 months of experience in nursing.

Location: Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center

overview: The Adult Infusion Center Nurse supervises and directs the care of the hematology/oncology patient receiving care in an outpatient setting. The Adult Infusion Center Nurse is accountable for the care of medical and surgical patients. Serves as the first nurse, directing the collaboration of all disciplines to supply well-coordinated patient care.

Requirements:

  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse license or current, multi-state Registered Nurse license.
  • BLS – Healthcare Provider. ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card required inside first 9 months of employment.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
  • One yr of experience in acute care or in an infusion center
