Social Media-Based Scholarships in Health Professions Education must:

  • Be original
  • Advancing health professions education based on theory, research and best practices

  • Provide the health professions education community with the chance to comment and supply feedback in a transparent way that informs broader discussion

: Social media-based research will be revolutionary and original work that builds on existing theory. However, this requires a digital platform that permits for feedback from the broader educational community. However, not all social media activities meet the standards of the scholarship.
