Nurse.com honored for high-quality nursing content

OnCourse Learning’s consistent coverage of necessary nursing topics on Nurse.com and inventive efforts to deliver relevant content earned the group multiple awards in 2018.
Three high-quality nursing content and creativity awards distinguish Nurse.com for OnCourse Learning’s leadership in healthcare considering worldwide. These spring awards are presented by the American Society of Healthcare Editors and the 2018 Hermes Creative Awards.
About the ASHPE Award
The recognition includes the distinguished Gold Award for best use of infographics from the American Society of Health Care Editors. Winning infographic, “This is what you really feel“published on Nurse.com Digital version of National Nurses Week. “Every day, our team strives to provide nurses with the latest educational, informational and career resources,” said Lance Pine, OnCourse Learning vice president of recruiting and advertising solutions. “This infographic was popular because it featured the voices of nurses across the country and what they thought about the nursing profession.” Featuring seven categories of data, including satisfaction and morale, compensation and benefits, personal and professional development, and making a difference, the infographic highlights nurses’ perspectives in the workplace and can serve as a powerful tool for healthcare professionals and recruiters alike. “The animated, digital infographic is designed to be intuitive,” said Mike Milinac, creative manager of advertising services at OnCourse Learning. “This creative award highlights our innovative methods and the effectiveness of our design in making survey data available to our audiences.”
About Hermes Gold Awards
OnCourse Learning’s Nurse.com website was also recognized for its phenomenal coverage of the latest nursing news, and the Nurse.com blog won a gold award in the Blog (Overall) category in the competition Hermes 2018 Creative Awards competition. Featuring continuing education tools, employment resources, and thoughtful leadership content, the blog is a reference point for nurses across the country. Hermes recognizes specialists in print, digital, interactive and social media, as well as public relations and communications. Nurse.com received its second Hermes Gold Award for digital reach. In the E-Zine category, a group of recruitment solutions was awarded for its digital nursing publication, “DAISY provides nurses with meaningful recognition.” featuring the popular DAISY Award program and the ways nurses recognize each other for the compassionate care they provide to patients every day.

The digital release was a three way partnership between the businesses DAISY Foundation and Nurse.com by OnCourse Learning. Proceeds from the project were used to supply the inspiration with a $2,000 donation to support nurse-led research projects.
“These awards reflect the consistent quality of our content across digital platforms,” said Heather Cygan, senior director of content and inventive strategy for promoting solutions at OnCourse Learning. “We work hard to create meaningful and useful content for nurses across the country, so it is inspiring to receive third-party recognition for our efforts to educate nurses.”
