NCNP Fall ’18: Pearls and inspiration
Last month we headed out west for the National Conference for Nurse Practitioners (NCNP)! It was sunny and warm in Ahaheim where nurse practitioners got here together to learn, network and rejoice! My experience at this NCNP was really focused on pharmacology. With recent drug approvals, expanded indications, and frequent label changes, it is amazingly essential for us as nurses to stay awake up to now.
The keynote address, delivered by Wendy L. Wright, MS, RN, APRN, FNP, FAANP, FAAN, FNAP, discussed essential drug updates from 2018, including a review of recent insulins and oral antidiabetic medications, in addition to other essential changes. Here’s pearl to share:
