Malaria and climate: reprogramming through grant cycle 7

Climate change is a worldwide health challenge which will exacerbate the transmission of malaria, hampering progress within the fight against the disease. To support countries of their efforts to realize national malaria control and elimination targets and address the climate change imperative, the Global Fund has developed the Malaria and Climate: Reprogramming Examples for Grant Cycle 7 program [ download in English | Español | Français | Português ] .

This document provides opportunities to leverage Global Fund grant funds to support the introduction of climate change interventions into malaria programs. Priority malaria grant interventions under Grant Cycle 7 include promoting cross-sector collaboration and using data to adapt national malaria strategies and discover vulnerable populations affected by each climate change and malaria.

Appropriate interventions from the Global Fund Modular Framework [ download in English | Español | Français ] reprogramming examples are also provided as an example how climate change interventions could be integrated.
