Our founding nurses
Number 1 in your list of favorite famous nurses was the girl who began all of it, the founding father of nursing and the Lady with the Lamp… Florence Nightingale! May 12, 2020 was the two hundredth anniversary of Nightingale’s birth. Number 2 in your list of favorite famous nurses is one of the honored women in American history, the founding father of the American Red Cross – Clara Barton!

Number 3 in your list is a fictional nurse who worked at Mobile Army Surgical Hospital on M*A*S*H – Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan! Number 4 in your list is one other TV nurse from the favored series “ER” – Carol Hathaway!
